Förutsättningar
Innan du börjar, se till att du har tillgång till en VPS-server med Ubuntu 24.04 installerat.
Steg 1: Uppdatera systemet
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -ySteg 2: Installera Apache, MySQL och PHP
Installera webbservern Apache, databasen MySQL och PHP med följande kommando:
sudo apt install apache2 mysql-server php php-mysql libapache2-mod-php -ySteg 3: Ladda ner MediaWiki
Ladda ner den senaste versionen av MediaWiki från den officiella webbplatsen:
wget https://releases.wikimedia.org/mediawiki/1.39/mediawiki-1.39.0.tar.gzPacka upp den nedladdade filen:
tar -xvzf mediawiki-1.39.0.tar.gzFlytta mappen till /var/www/html:
sudo mv mediawiki-1.39.0 /var/www/html/mediawikiSteg 4: Konfigurera MySQL
Logga in på MySQL för att skapa en databas för MediaWiki:
sudo mysqlInuti MySQL, kör följande kommandon:
CREATE DATABASE mediawiki;
CREATE USER 'wikiuser'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'password';
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON mediawiki.* TO 'wikiuser'@'localhost';
FLUSH PRIVILEGES;
EXIT;Steg 5: Konfigurera Apache
Skapa en konfigurationsfil för MediaWiki:
sudo nano /etc/apache2/sites-available/mediawiki.confLägg till följande rader:

DocumentRoot /var/www/html/mediawiki
<Directory /var/www/html/mediawiki>
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride All
Require all granted
</Directory>
</VirtualHost>Aktivera webbplatsen och omskrivningsmodulen:
sudo a2ensite mediawiki.conf
sudo a2enmod rewrite
sudo systemctl restart apache2Steg 6: Slutföra installationen via webben
Öppna webbläsaren och gå till http://your_server_ip/mediawiki för att slutföra installationen enligt instruktionerna på skärmen.
