I den här guiden går vi igenom hur du installerar Observium, ett kraftfullt nätverksövervakningsverktyg, på Debian 11. Denna installation kan vara särskilt användbar för användare av en VPS-server.

Förutsättningar

• Debian 11 installerat på din server.
• Root-åtkomst eller sudo-rättigheter.
• En aktiv internetanslutning.
• Apache eller Nginx installerat.
• PHP och nödvändiga PHP-tillägg installerade.
• MySQL eller MariaDB installerat.

Steg 1: Uppdatera systemet

Öppna terminalen och kör följande kommando för att uppdatera systempaketen:

sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y

Steg 2: Installera nödvändiga paket

Kör följande kommando för att installera Apache, PHP och nödvändiga tillägg:

sudo apt install apache2 php php-mysql php-mbstring php-xml php-curl php-gd -y

Steg 3: Skapa en databas för Observium

Anslut till MySQL/MariaDB:

sudo mysql -u root -p

Skapa en databas och användare för Observium:

CREATE DATABASE observium;
CREATE USER 'observiumuser'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'your_password';
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON observium.* TO 'observiumuser'@'localhost';
FLUSH PRIVILEGES;
EXIT;

Steg 4: Ladda ner Observium

Ladda ner den senaste versionen av Observium:

wget https://github.com/observium/observium/archive/refs/tags/v22.10.tar.gz

Extrahera zip-filen:

tar -xzf v22.10.tar.gz
sudo mv observium-22.10 /var/www/html/observium

Steg 5: Ställ in rättigheterna

Sätt rättigheterna för Observium-mappen:

sudo chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/html/observium
sudo chmod -R 755 /var/www/html/observium

Steg 6: Konfigurera Apache för Observium

Kopiera konfigurationsfilen för Apache:

sudo nano /etc/apache2/sites-available/observium.conf

Lägg till följande konfiguration i filen:

<VirtualHost *:80>
        ServerAdmin admin@example.com
        DocumentRoot /var/www/html/observium
        ServerName example.com

        <Directory /var/www/html/observium>
            Options FollowSymLinks
            AllowOverride All
            Require all granted
        </Directory>

        ErrorLog ${APACHE_LOG_DIR}/observium_error.log
        CustomLog ${APACHE_LOG_DIR}/observium_access.log combined
</VirtualHost>

Ersätt `example.com` med din faktiska domän.

Steg 7: Aktivera konfigurationen och starta om Apache

Kör följande kommandon för att aktivera konfigurationen och starta om Apache:

sudo a2ensite observium.conf
sudo systemctl restart apache2

Steg 8: Slutför installationen via webbläsaren

Navigera till följande URL i din webbläsare för att slutföra installationen av Observium:

http://your_server_ip/observium/install.php
